The Cancer Society of New Zealand application for resource consent to construct a community facility at 74 Langdons Road has been granted by Christchurch City Council.

The shovel ready project will receive funding through the Government’s infrastructure programme for building projects in Christchurch. The facility will provide South Island patients and their families improved access to accommodation and support while they receive treatment.

Construction of a new building to house the Cancer Society’s Christchurch-based patient accommodation and support services is set to start in May this year, ten years after the charity’s facilities were destroyed by the Christchurch earthquake with completion expected in early 2023.

Novo Group provided planning and traffic advice and coordinated the resource consent process from pre application through to Council liaison post lodgement.
